Manifesto
Life is simply a collection of fleeting, but beautiful memories - with emotions connected to those memories. Photographs hold a special key to some of these and I find joy in creating and preserving them for others. I want to help tell stories; and maybe lucky enough to tell a small part of yours.
Photography, like many things, is a passion and I believe that those who have the ability to share that with others should do so. This is my calling & I am blessed with the opportunity to do exactly that.
About Me
Hey, I’m Rachel - a born and raised Edmontonian, who quickly learned that a 4-hour car ride is so worth it to spend some time in the mountains, even if its just for a day. My love for taking photos started in elementary school where I documented literally everything and everyone in my life.
My professional photography journey began in high school when an incredible teacher, now mentor, helped me nurture my creativity, gave me space to learn, and pushed me to seek out new skills; at the time not knowing these things would aid me in creating a career out of something I loved so deeply. My business grew alongside me as I completed my business degree, and now I’ve been a full-time photographer for 4 years.
My friends would describe me as laid-back but still very aware of the itinerary (probably because I created it). I believe structure and plans are important but also a hippie at heart who believes going with the flow and not sweating if things go a little off is as important. Balance is key to a happy life, right?
Music, dancing, and being the life of the party always sounds like a good time to me and I rarely say no to a good plan. Adventures across the world, spending time outdoors, and trying (most) new things are also things I try to do, whenever I can fit them in.
Capturing beautiful memories for people and sharing in their excitement is what brings me true joy - making photography the most fulfilling job I could ask for ♡

My partner is an incredible videographer named Kaden (and I may have had that as a requirement on my dating profile)
Golf is a my FAVOURITE hobby that I’m hoping to get way better at!!
I use disposable film cameras when I’m with my friends to “live in the moment”
Ana from Estilo Beauty Studios has become one of my best friends thanks to our repeated collaborations and shared clients!

I’m a night owl turned early riser (my past self would have never believed it)
Brunch is my favourite meal of the day
I love to play pool with friends at the bar (especially when they have a jukebox that will take all my money)
My dream location to visit (and take photos) is Ireland. I have strong family ties there!
I got my first digital camera at 10 years old and did photoshoots of my friends during recess
