For the last 2 months, I’ve been working on a website rebrand to better reflect my brand and the work that makes my heart happy (trees and the sun duh)

Kirsten & Connor and what they wanted for their engagement session are exactly that vision and I’m so happy they found me.

When I was thinking about what vibe I wanted for this styled shoot, Tanerélle came to mind when looking at Aaron’s (black barn) mood board ✨I kept telling everyone how it’s liked this was planned for me - green being my favourite colour and all 💚

I’m also so happy I was able to try different lighting throughout the shoot! Sometimes on a wedding day, it’s so nerve racking to pull out different lights or try new techniques because 1. time crunch and 2. weddings shouldn’t feel like a production to the couple (in my humble opinion). So getting to practice and test out things beforehand makes doing it on a wedding day feel so much more seamless and quick 🤍

I’ve never done a styled shoot with so many vendors before (cue the nerves lol) but I ended up having so much fun and unleashing ~most~ of the potential a winter wedding has at the Black Barn (there is more to come featuring the beautiful outdoors, I swear)

Seriously though, my last 2 weddings of the fall were here and I really hope I have many more because I absolutely adore the Black Barn team 🤍

Thankful for @k.smedia for planning the sweetest date night in the midst of a very busy busy season for me.

It’s so easy to put work over everything (especially as an entrepreneur) and forget that it’s okay to take an evening off here or there. It was really nice to take a few hours to literally stop and smell the flowers 🤍

They’re closed for the season now, but @fernsflowersgarden is absolutely amazing!! They also grow food for the food bank 🥹 I’ll absolutely be back next year and maybe even find a couple to book a session here 🤭
