Curated Music Playlist

I love music and over the years it has become such an important part my workflow. I’ll create a (Spotify) music playlist curated just for you and your partner – played during your engagement session, if you decide to do one, and during your wedding day portraits. Of course, you can have the link to it as well (and can add to it if you so choose!)

Shot List Organization

We’ll use a short shot list questionnaire to make sure the moments that matter most aren’t missed. I’m pretty good with details on the go but I always like to give you some time beforehand to think and make note of anything that deserves a little more attention on your wedding day.

Posing Method

I approach posing with a relaxed, adaptive attitude. I’ll start by gently guiding you with clear direction and easy suggestions, so you never feel unsure of what to do. As you get more comfortable, we’ll move into more natural prompts and movement – and before you know it, you’ll be leading the way without even realizing it.

Photoshop

I use Photoshop for retouching – but don’t worry, I wont make you unrecognizable. Just enough to keep flyaways or little distractions from taking away from a beautiful candid moments. That way, you can stay present and not worry about looking “perfect” while still getting some pretty perfect images. My goal is to capture the feeling, and handle the tiny details later.

All your photos in an online gallery & on a USB

You’ll receive an online gallery that will have both web-quality and high-resolution versions of your images. The gallery will have the option to invite your family and friends to view and download images as well (plus you have full control over what they can and can’t see). You’ll also receive a USB with your final images just to ensure you have them in more than one place.

Timeline & Planning Support

Support with planning your timeline with calls, video chats or just quick texts. You can ask me any question, plus I can offer guidance on how long things typically take, based on whats most important to you.

Wedding Highlights in 7 days

Also known as sneak peeks! I know how excited you’ll be to get some photos right away to share with all your loved ones. I make sure to include a good variety of images so your closest loved ones can enjoy right away as well.

Before you view your full gallery, you’ll have a chance to rewatch your day in a custom slideshow which will be easily accessibly within your gallery.

The Process

You inquire & book an initial call
AND TELL ME YOUR VISION

You and your partner jump on a call with me and we get to know each other. I’ll want to know all about how you met and of course your favourite type of music. I’ll ask if you’re including any of your pets in the wedding and over the course of a few months we’ll check in about timelines, vendor recommendations and any other advice you are looking for.

02.
Your day unfolds
THE MOMENTS ARE DOCUMENTED

My style is a mix of guidance and quietly capturing moments how they naturally unfold. If I can, I’ll tidy up before we take “candids” or I’ll suggest where the best lighting is for you to put on your shoes but I won’t make you stop and redo it. I never force kisses but encourage it if certain prompts or poses creates the perfect moment for you to do it.

You receive your gallery
RELIVE YOUR DAY

Within the first week after your wedding, you’ll get an email with your wedding highlights!! And then 10 weeks later you’ll get a link to your full gallery and a slideshow. Each image carefully edited with your couple portraits having full retouching.

A QUESTION FIRST?

Absolutely, yes. Backyard weddings are often the most meaningful and personal, and that’s exactly why they deserve to be captured beautifully. These moments – the quiet laughs, the emotional hugs, the way the light filters through your favourite trees – are the ones you’ll treasure forever. This isn’t “just” a backyard wedding. It’s your wedding.

The short answer is yes, but only in Canada. Although I’m always open to specific requests (okay so maybe Ireland??) my heart lies within Canada and that is currently where I am taking bookings.

Definitely. I focus on what you care about – not what’s expected. Every couple is different, and I take the time to understand what’s important to you. Whether you’re walking barefoot down a garden path or sharing a private toast with your parents on the porch, I’m there to tell your story, your way.

That’s one of the things I’m most mindful of. My approach is documentary-style for most of the day which helps, but I also love getting to know your guests which is how I blend in like a friend (with a camera)!
